History of St. Louis

St. Louis was born on 25th April 1214 at Poissy, France. He is the son of King Louis VIII and Blanche of Castile. He became the King of France and Count of Artois at age eleven, but his mother ruled as regent until he reached 22, and then he reigned for 44 years. St Louis made numerous judicial and legislative reforms, promoted Christianity in France, established religious foundations, aided mendicant orders, propagated synodal decrees of the Church, built hospitals for lepers, collected relics. Married Marguerite of Provence at the age of 19, and was the father of 11 children. He supported Pope Innocent IV in a war against Tunis (in modern Tunisia) of natural causes. His relics were in the Basilica of Saint-Denis, Paris, France and it was destroyed in 1793 during the French Revolution. He was canonized in the year 1297 by Pope Boniface VIII.

Dear Parishioners and Well-wishers

Greetings and Prayerful Wishes to you

I am happy to meet you all through this web page which has been made by the Soldiers of Christ.  I was the Director cum Secretary of Madras Social Service Society and witnessed so many people do suffer during this pandemic in various ways.  In our Parish also,  I do see the parishioners suffer due to Covid 19.  The elderly persons and the children are not able to attend the Holy Mass.  Some do suffer at the loss of their job, money, etc.  I pray for all of you that this pandemic situation may go off and once more the Church would be opened with the regular activities.

For the Mass booking, Subscription payments, emergency prayer help,  etc kindly contact me.  We have a trained catechist Br John Joseph and the Assistant Parish Priest, Fr Michael Sunder Selvam SDM.  They do serve you all.
